#AboutUs

Our mission

At GrowwithCoir.co.uk, our goal is to help educators, parents and organisations introduce their kids to the benefits of gardening. We aim to do this by providing an innovative range of high quality sustainable products made out of natural coir, and packaged beautifully for kids. Together we aim to encourage kids into the eco-friendly paradise of gardening.

What is Coir?

Coir is a sustainable byproduct of the coconut industry that would otherwise go to waste. Made with material extracted from the husk of the coconut, coir is a completely natural, biodegradable, and organic resource. It is also free of the more environmentally harmful peat-moss.

The coir-based products we bring you are vegan-certified, and the production process is completely carbon neutral, making coir the ideal choice for the eco-conscious grower.

Our Eco-Friendly History

The coconut industry is nothing new for the people behind our company, whose families have owned coconut plantations for many generations.Coir products have been used in horticulture for many, many years. Our coir is sourced from Sri Lanka, a country with a rich history of coconut farming, where coconut makes up to 12% of all agricultural production.

In our early days in the coir industry, we were primarily supplying coir-based goods by the container-load to customers around the world, and we’ve continued to do this to this day.

However, we've identified a local demand for affordable, child-friendly gardening solutions. Recognizing the myriad benefits of gardening for children, we're committed to expanding its reach. Through partnerships with local schools and organizations, we're supplying regular kids bundles, integrating gardening into school curriculums and after-school programs.

Furthermore, we're dedicated to making our kids' products accessible to parents and families. That's why we've launched GrowwithCoir.co.uk, offering exclusive gardening kids bundles made from coir. These innovative bundles bring the benefits of coir to young growers in the UK without breaking the bank.
